Ethika and Mercato Metropolitano are about giving people good, honest, food and drinks that won’t cost the earth.

Our fun and interactive cocktail making class focusses not only on teaching you to make delicious homemade cocktails but how to do it using Fair Trade, locally produced and artisan products.

After a brief introduction to the products you’ll be using during the class we’ll show you how to make the basic ingredients you might want to use at home, before teaching you the various techniques you’ll need to start making masterful cocktails. After that it’s over to you to make some drinks.

The class includes a glass of prosecco during the introduction, making two cocktails and a recipe card for the cocktails you have made.

Timetable 7:30pm – 9:00pm

Introduction – A very brief history of the cocktail, Ethika, Mercato Metropolitano and a chat about the sustainable brands we will be using to make the drinks.

How to make cocktails – A look at the various techniques for making drinks; stirring, shaking, throwing and measuring. We’ll also introduce the recipes you’ll be making.

Homemade ingredients - How to make the basic ingredients you might want to use at home.

Making cocktails – We split into groups and put into practice all of that knowledge we just gained by making the first drink.

Drinking cocktails – We take a quick break to enjoy our creations.

Making more cocktails – Learn, practice, master! We come back together to make drink number two.
